Passed out vodka lover comes to sporting lewd tattoo

A 27-year-old man from northern Sweden has certain regrets about drinking a full bottle of vodka after waking up the morning after with a six inch penis tattooed on his leg, newspaper Aftonbladet reports.

The man with the obscene tattoo, identified only as Joel, recalls little of the evening that led to the ink-filled art attack.

“The last thing I remember is leaving my apartment,” he told Aftonbladet.

But friends were soon able to fill him in on all the gory details of a raucous May evening in Umeå.

After hitting one of the town’s nightspots, the group headed for a hamburger joint where Joel waxed lyrical about a tattoo of a mustache on a companion’s finger. With a belly full of booze and an eye for adventure, he announced to all present that he too would like to get himself a drunken tattoo.

Little did he know that the next booth was occupied by a tattoo artist, who immediately expressed an interest in fulfilling Joel’s wish just as long as he was given free rein to express himself fully on the drunk man’s limbs.

Joel and a friend subsequently took off with the stranger in a taxi. But despite waking up with an x-rated leg, Joel said he felt no anger toward the dirty-minded doodler.

“I found out afterwards who it was. He works at a studio here. But I went along with it, he didn’t exactly force me.”

Joel said he was initially worried what his mother would think, adding that he did not bathe in public at all this summer.

LINTHICUM, Md. – There were some tense moments at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport Tuesday night as two men had to be evaluated for swine flu.

The men were on a flight from Cancun, Mexico to Maryland. That’s where they caused some tense moments for the 117 passengers on board.

AirTran Flight 85 from Cancun radioed ahead to the airport about the passengers, said airport spokesman Jonathan Dean. The two had fevers and were sick to the stomach.

“The airport’s fire and rescue department responded,” Dean tells WTOP.

“They evaluated the passengers and determined that there was no public health threat.

“They were actually ill before boarding.”

According to David Paulson, spokesman for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the men had to be isolated and examined to make sure it wasn’t swine flu. He says they did not have respiratory distress that accompanies the flu.

They simply had too much to drink, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Jim Peters.

The men refused treatment. The rest of the passengers had to stay on the plane for a little under an hour.

Swine flu is suspected in 159 deaths and 2,498 illnesses in Mexico. The U.S. reported its first death Wednesday morning.

Ohio man arrested for drunk driving on a homemade vehicle

MARCH 31–In a law enforcement first, Ohio cops this month arrested a man for drunk driving on a motorized bar stool. That’s right, a motorized bar stool, which can be seen below in a police evidence photo. According to cops, Kile Wygle, 28, crashed his bar stool near his Newark home earlier this month and called 911 due to his injuries. When an officer arrived and asked Wygle what happened, he answered, “I wrecked my bar stool.” According to a Newark Police Division report, a copy of which you’ll find here, Wygle’s homemade ride is powered by a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine. Wygle noted that the bar stool could hit nearly 40 miles per hour, but that he was only going 20 when he wiped out late in the afternoon on March 4 (a witness told police that he spotted someone driving a “strange motorized machine” before the crash). A plastered Wygle, who failed a series of field sobriety tests, was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license, both misdemeanors. His bar stool was not impounded.

It is normally a moment of cheery reassurance when an airline pilot greets passengers during preparations for take-off. But Alexander Cheplevsky sparked panic on flight Aeroflot 315 when he began to speak.

His slurred and garbled comments ahead of a Dec. 29 flight from Moscow to New York convinced passengers that he was drunk. When he apparently switched from Russian into unintelligible English, fear turned to revolt.

Flight attendants initially ignored passengers’ complaints and threatened to expel them from the Boeing 767 jet unless they stopped “making trouble”. As the rebellion spread, Aeroflot representatives boarded the aircraft to try to calm down the 300 passengers.

One sought to reassure them by announcing that it was “not such a big deal” if the pilot was drunk because the aircraft practically flew itself.

Cheplevsky did little to ease passengers’ fears by refusing to leave the cockpit to show that he was sober. When he was finally persuaded to face them, witnesses said that he appeared unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot eyes.

“I don’t think there’s anyone in Russia who doesn’t know what a drunk person looks like,” Katya Kushner, one of the passengers, told the Moscow Times, which had a reporter traveling on the flight. “At first, he was looking at us like we were crazy. Then, when we wouldn’t back down, he said ‘I’ll sit here quietly in a corner. We have three more pilots. I won’t even touch the controls, I promise’.”

NEW YORK — An intoxicated commodities broker was arrested after he allegedly tried to set fire to a freight elevator after trapping himself in it.

Police say an inebriated Ryan Brinkerhoff, of Jersey City, went to his office at 7 World Trade Center early Saturday morning and got trapped in a freight elevator.

Police say Brinkerhoff tried set a fire in the elevator with cleaning fluids in an effort to attract attention.

Police say the smoke activate a fire alarm, which sent the elevator to the ground floor where Port Authority Police were waiting.

A few minutes later the drunk comes in through the bathrooms, again he slurs, “give me a drink”, bartender says “No man I told you last time you’re too drunk”

Five minutes later the guy comes in through the back door and orders a drink, again the bartender says, “You’re too drunk”

The drunk scratches his head and says “Damn I must be… the last two places said the same thing.”
