Whats Needed: A deck of cards, 3 or more people and a bottle of liquor.

How to Play: Deal two cards to every player. After you look at your hand, hold them face down above the table, then someone says “1,2,3, Guts.” If you want to play you hold on to your cards, if you don’t you simply drop them.

Card rankings: 6:9 is the best hand to have, pair of aces is second and pair of Kings and so on down. If no one has a pair, the high card wins.

Now if you stay in you go head to head with who ever is left. The losers take a shot.

If you are the only one that stays in you go against a 3-card ghost hand where any two cards are played against your had. If you beat the ghost hand then you get to pass out a drink, if you lose you take the shot.

Finally, if everyone folds the person with the best hand has to take the shot because they have no guts.

Option: You can also just play with drinks if you dont think you can handle the shots.

Pusoy Drinking Game - Big Two Poker

Whats Needed: A Deck of Cards, and drinks of choice. (We like to get a double shotglass with 4 marks on it see image. I’m sure you have seen these. The game is usually played with 4 people, so whatever place you come in, is how big of a shot you take after each game played. If you came in first you take a the smallest, 2nd, half a shot and so on. If you came in 4th, you take the full shot and if there are other people waiting to play, someone takes the 4th place persons turn. This is just an option on how to drink with this game)

How to Play: Pusoy is a climbing card game.

In climbing games, each player in turn must play a higher card (or combination of cards) than the previous player. A player who cannot or does not wish to beat the previous play can pass.

Big Two Poker has several alternative names:

Da Lao Er is Mandarin Chinese and literally means “big old two”
Choh Dai Di
or simply Dai Di in Cantonese
Bu Bu Gao Sheng in Taiwan
Pusoy Dos is the usual name used in the Philippines. This translates into English as “Poker Two” - “Pusoy” being the Filipino name for Poker.

Game Rules
Your goal to win is to be the first to get rid of all of your cards, by playing them to the table. They can be played singly or in certain combinations. If you cannot be first to play all your cards, then your next aim is to have as few cards as possible when another player finishes. The game is best played with four players using a standard 52-deck card. The cards ranking from high to low: 2-A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3 . There is also an ordering of suits - from high to low: spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds.

There are four (4) types of play combinations one can use:

Single cards. Cards rank from two (highest) down to three (lowest), between cards of the same rank a higher suit beats a lower suit.

Pairs. A pair of equal ranked cards - twos are highest and threes are lowest. Any higher ranked pair beats one with lower ranks. Between equal ranked pairs, the with the highest suit wins - for example 2s- 2d beats 2h-2c because the spade is higher than the heart.

Triples. Three equal ranked cards - three twos are highest, down to three threes, which is the lowest triple.

Five-Card Combination. Any five-card combination following the poker hand rankings: Straight, Flush, Four of a Kind (plus any card), Straight Flush, and Royal Flush.

The playable combinations are similar to poker hands, but there are vital differences. For one, there’s no “two pair” combination, and although a four of a kind needs a fifth card to complete, a triple cannot be accompanied by extra cards unless of course you are playing a full house hand.

Also, a combination can only be beaten by a better combination with the same number of cards: a single card can only be beaten by a single card, a pair by a better pair and a triple by a better triple. You cannot use a triple to beat a pair or a straight to beat a triple. In the five-card combination, the rule of the poker hand rankings applies.

Dealing The Cards
The cards are normally dealt counter-clockwise. Any player may deal first, in the following games the winners of each hands will deal next. He shuffles the cards and the player to the dealer’s right cuts the deck. After cutting the card, the dealer lifts the top card from the pack to determine who will be dealt the first card. Then count the players starting with the dealer until the rank of the exposed card is reached.

The dealer deals out the cards, one at a time, counter-clockwise until everyone is holding13 cards.

The Play
The player holding three of diamonds (3d) will start the play. He can either play it as a single card or as part of a combination. The player to his right is next and so on.

When it’s your turn you must either pass or beat the previous cards by playing a higher combination of the same number of cards. All cards are placed face up at the center of the table. This process continues for several circuits if necessary, until a player have exhausted all his cards. As soon as this happens, the play ends and the hand is scored.

A reminder, you are never under any obligation to beat a card or set of cards just because you are able to - you may always choose to pass and keep your high cards for a better play. Passing does not prevent you from playing when your turn comes round again.

Scoring (you dont have to do this, you can drink instead!)
The remaining players will score penalty points for the cards remaining in their hands. The penalty is 1 point per card if you have 9 cards or less, 2 points per card if you have 10 to12 cards, and 3 points per card (i.e. 39 points) if you have all 13 of your cards left at the end. The winner, having no cards, gets no penalty points.

In the Philippine variation of Pusoy Dos, the game is normally played with positive points rather than penalties. The winner scores 1 point and the others score nothing. However, if you win and your last play includes a deuce (two) you score 2 points; if it contains two deuces you score 4 points, if it includes three deuces you score 8 points, and if you were to win by playing all four deuces you would score 16 points.

When playing the version that goes on until only one player has cards left, the person who runs out of cards first wins five points, the second player wins 3 points, the third wins 1 point and the last one gets nothing at all.

Like any other card game, Big Two poker is often played for money. Before starting to play the players agree a stake - for example $1 per point. If the person playing after you has only one card left, you should take these tips to stop them from winning:

Hints:

  • If single cards are being played, you should play your highest card.
  • If it is your turn to lead, you should lead a combination more than one card if possible; otherwise you should lead your highest card.

Whats needed: A deck of cards with all 8s and 9s removed. Also remove all the red 10 tens. Two or more people, and Beer. The buzz factor starts out low, but with lots of people, dealing last can be dangerous at best.

    How to Play:

The ranks of the cards are:
    Face cards = .5 points
    Aces = 1.0 point
    2-7 = face value
    10s = wild (anything from .5 - 7.5)

The game is played just like Blackjack but to 7.5 points.
First, lay out all cards face down, everyone “cuts for deal”.
Highest card deals first (10 would be 7.5, 7 is very good). Deal will go
from highest draw to lowest. Very important: you cannot leave the game
until after you have dealt. That’s why dealing first is great, dealing last
has been known to result in “Brain Damage.”

Dealer takes deck, deals one card face down to first player, one card
face down to self. Player looks at card, then bets any amount of beer, a large
shot glass is usually a good limit.

Player keeps first card face down, and can take as many hits as he
wants. If he goes over 7.5, he must announce that fact, and then drink the
bet. If not, when he stops, dealer turns over his card, and then hits until
he thinks he has the player beat. If dealer busts, he drinks the bet.
When the dealer is satisfied with his hand, the player turns over his
card. Lower total drinks. Ties mean player drinks. The dealer then goes to
the next player, repeating the process until the deck is exhausted.
If the player gets a “five card charlie” (5 cards, not busted), he wins
immediately, dealer cannot draw, dealer loses even with a 10 in hand. If player
draws to 7.5, dealer can of course try to tie (win).

If the dealer begins dealing begins with six or less cards, the penalty
is to deal again. With six or less cards, dealer lays them face down, the
player bets, they both draw a card, loser drinks (tie == player drinks)
Play continues until everyone has dealt.

    Shots Drinking Game

    1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)
    Loading ... Loading ...

What’s Needed: A deck of cards, a shot glass, and beer.

How to Play: One person (the dealer) puts 9 cards face up on the table. The person to the left of the dealer, fills the shot glass with beer. When you have the shot glass, you can NOT:

    - Say “drink”, “drank”, or “Drunk”
    - Touch your beer to the rim of the shot glass
    - Spill
    - Burp
    - Swear
    - Or switch hands(the shot glass has to stay in the same hand you grab it with for the entire turn)

If the person with the shot glass does any of those at any point while the shot glass is in their hand, then they have to drink and refill the shot glass until their turn is over.

The dealer will then flip a card over from the deck If the card is the same number as one of the nine cards flipped over in the beginning then the person will drink and refill the shot glass (remember not to touching the rim or spilling) And the then another card is flipped over. It remains on that person until a card is flipped that is not one of the original 9. When that happens, they pass the shot glass to the next person, and the same rules apply.

Pay attention to what you are doing and saying when you have the shot glass, you will have to drink way more than necessary if you don’t!

    Crazy 8’s Drinking Game

    1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (1 votes, average: 4 out of 5)
    Loading ... Loading ...

What’s Needed: 4 or more people, and a lot of beer or drink of choice.

How to Play: Put all 8’s on the table straight down in a parallel line.
Deal out the whole deck to all the people playing. The person to left of dealer starts, he/she tries to connect a card to a certain suite of the 8. EXAMPLE: Player to the left has 7 of hearts, put it to the left of 8 of hearts then they get to hand out 2 drinks to anyone they choose. (the cards will all be laid out from 2-A)

If there is a gap person has to drink the difference of the 2 cards and also every time a player connects cards to that same suit. EXAMPLE. If I put a 2 of spades along with the 8 of spades and there isn’t another card all the way to 8, I would have to drink 6 drinks and then every single time a person connects to that am suit I’d have to drink the connection length. So if the next person put down 7 of spades next to the 8, I’d drink 2 seconds on top of the 6 I already had to drink for my gap.

Remember to leave enough space in a long line, so if you put down a 2 early, leave enough for room for cards 3-7 to connect to the 8. Eventually you will have 4 parallel rows of every card in the deck with lots of drunk people. Make sure to throw down cards wisely and save the big connectors to get people good in the end.

This Game is Guaranteed to get you trashed.

Version 2: Game is still played more or less the same way, but if you throw a huge gap in the play, you drink that amount, but not every time someone else throws a card in that gap. They will have to drink the amount of cards that is down, counting all the cards that would be in the gap as well. Some people will make a big gap right in the beginning just to screw over the rest of the group.
