Magoo’s Sports Bar is a great place to go watch sports games, or just hang out and have a Drink and a bite to eat. The Food here is excellent for a sports bar… Plus you can order a gallon of any beer on tap. They have a plethora of TV’s for all events on and projection screen golf game which is always fun.

Always a great place to get some great food, Large beers in frozen mugs, and watch some sports on one of the many plasma TVs up around the bar/lounge area.  The bar/Lounge is open until 2 a.m. every night, so you know it will always be open and serving if the spot you are at before closes up earlier.

Hush has been voted one of the top dance spots in the Ventura County area.

This is a cool hole in the wall English Pub.  Decent food, and good prices.  They also have live bands that play here occasionally.   The crowd is usually a bit on the older side, but you can find nights were it will be a typically younger, fun crowd.  This place is usually hit or miss, but always a good place to go have a drink to start the night.

Previously this was Dakota’s Steak house up on the hill in the East end of Simi Valley. It has been transformed into a nice, trendy restaurant/bar/club. There is a huge outdoor deck with tables for eating/drinking and hanging out. Inside there is a decent sized circular bar, that is always crowded. The bar tenders here are terrible, it takes way too long to get a drink and the drinks are overpriced, especially for Simi Valley. There is a dance floor and DJ there on the weekends that is usually pretty crowded. Overall, this is a pretty cool place, and completely unexpected to see Simi Valley. Candlelight is a pretty good alternative to the long drive out to Hollywood if you leave around that area.

“Most patrons of the new Candlelight are escorted to an outside patio deck complete with a long rooftop waterfall.

The patio area extends around the outside of the dramatic bar, noticeably featuring several huge candles glowing in the darkness.

Besides a few tables on the deck and patio, there are bedlike couches for drinkers to recline on and watch the stars.

On windy nights, the small tabletop candles are extremely difficult to keep lit.

An early evening visit here was much more successful as a meal-taking experience than an ensuing later visit at dusk.

But both times were hampered by the lack of staffers, with food taking a long time to arrive from the kitchen.

The impression given here is that much more attention would be rendered to a large catered affair and that the bar and restaurant are merely open to the public because they’re there.”(dailynews.com)

Judge Roy Bean’s is a cool place to go drink and play some pool, darts or shuffle board. Also JRB’s has bands that come through and play every once in a while. Worth checking out if you are just hanging out with the guys. Not the best place to take girls, or pick up on any either.

The Green Frog, is a small hole in the wall bar.  Not the place to go meet people, but none the less a good place to go drink.  Always fun to go have a few drinks with your friends here.  Or just get absolutely wrecked… this will help the ugly girls here look a little better, and will help you to not notice the smell of piss that circulates throughout the tiny bar.  On the up-side, the bartenders are usually pretty good looking.
