Fat Tire in a Can!

Fat Tire will be sold in cans coming this Summer 2008!

New Belgium Brewing Co. most popular beer will be sold in cans for one main reason, cans can go where glass can’t.

From New Belgium’s press release: “Introducing cans was a natural choice given that they are outdoor-friendly, light for transport and readily recyclable,” said Bryan Simpson, spokesperson for New Belgium. “In addition to the lighter carbon footprint, Fat Tire can now travel to places where glass is not an option.”

This should help sales of Fat Tire, but many argue against putting beer in cans because it ruins the taste. While other feel that cans help protect the taste from being exposed to light and oxygen.
