This game is a lot of fun to play, but you need a real steady surface to play on, counter-tops seems to be pretty good if people can huddle around it on both sides.

What’s Needed: 2 or more people, the more the better. A can of beer un-opened in the center of the table, a deck of cards (might need more than one deck, if the mushroom gets real big), and drinks for everyone playing.

How to play: Start with the un-opened can of beer in the middle of the circle of people and the deck of cards, face down next to it. The first person just draws the top card and looks at it. Whatever he/she pulls, this determines how the drinks will be given out/taken. 2-10 is 1 drink, Jack is 2 drinks, Queen is 3 drinks, King is 4 drinks, and Ace is 5 drinks. Red means you give that many drinks, and black means you take that many.

After the first person draws the top card and gives or takes the drinks, he/she sets it face down on the top of the un-opened beer can in the center of the table. The game the proceeds around the table clockwise from the person who started.

The next person who goes, after dealing with the drinks, has to place their card over the previous card laid down, with one of the corners of their card hanging off the edge (of the whole mushroom, this wont be hard for the first couple cards), and 2 corners of the previous card covered by their card. This will insure that that mushroom will keep growing outward. Then the next person goes, and it just keeps going around the table until someone messes up.

The person who makes it fall, has to chug the beer in the center that was being played on. (Shotgun is always a good penalty).

Hard Version: For people who want more of a challenge, use a beer bottle in the center of the table to play on, the top needs to be off though to give flat surface. The cap on a beer bottle is usually slightly rounded.

This would be the view from above the game. The Blue card would need atleast one of its corners hanging off the edge of the mushroom, and it would also need to be covering 2 corners of the previous (red) card.
